On to the computer

Now we will begin work on the computers.  Because two classes are in the same classroom most of the instruction will be tutorial based.  This means you will receive your instructions using a document and you will ask the teacher if you get stuck or run into issues.  It is a good idea to work at the same pace as someone around you so you have someone to ask the little questions.  To begin go to  http://www.thecadacademy.com/instructorportal.asp. For Architectural drafting go to the Archicad section and begin with “ArchiCAD Foundations”.  This will guide you through how Archicad is set up and it will get you drawing quickly.  Once you have completed this introduction show the completed file to Mr. Williams for grading. 

Tip:

If you drag any window as far left or right as it will go when you let go the window will fill exactly half the screen.  This will enable you to have your instructions on one side of the screen and your work on the other.
